Many people opt for high-quality solid wood flooring for their gymnasiums. Today, I'd like to share with you some essential maintenance precautions for sports wood flooring:
Daily Maintenance Precautions:
Assign dedicated personnel to oversee the wood flooring and strictly prohibit non-staff members from entering.
Strictly prohibit entering the wood flooring area with shoes that have nails or contain gravel. At the entrance, install rubber mats or other devices for wiping shoe soles.
The flooring must not be soaked in water. Ventilation holes should be regularly cleaned, and indoor humidity should be maintained between 50% and 70%, with indoor temperature controlled between 10°C and 35°C.
Wipe the flooring once daily with a water-based floor cleaner.
During winter (when the air is drier), mop the flooring with water every two days; in summer, this can be reduced appropriately.
Do not activate forced hot air delivery devices when there are no competitions.
During winter (non-competition periods), maintain the indoor temperature at no higher than 18°C.
Ventilate the space once daily in summer, for at least 2 hours each time.
Record the temperature and humidity once daily.
For large-scale events, implement protective measures for the wood flooring. Specifically, cover the entire flooring with polypropylene carpets before the event and remove them after the event concludes. The tools required for daily maintenance include large mops and floor cleaners.
